Amsterdam gehört zu den beliebtesten Kreuzfahrtdestinationen in Nordeuropa – sowohl für Hochseekreuzfahrten als auch für Flusskreuzfahrten. Die Stadt verbindet eine einzigartige Lage, spannende Kultur und moderne Hafeninfrastruktur.

Amsterdam zeichnet sich als Kreuzfahrtdestination durch seine extrem zentrale Lage des Terminals, die historische Grachtenstadt (UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe), hervorragende Verkehrsanbindung und die Doppelfunktion als Hochsee- und Flusskreuzfahrthafen aus. Für Passagiere bedeutet das: Man kommt direkt im Herzen einer Weltmetropole an.

Amsterdam ist die Hauptstadt und zugleich die bevölkerungsreichste Stadt der Niederlande.
Kreuzfahrtschiffe erreichen Amsterdam über die Schleuse IJmuiden und den ca. 25 km langen Nordseekanal.

Im Stadtzentrum befindet sich in optimaler Lage das Cruise Terminal Amsterdam, welches bis zu zwei großen Kreuzfahrtschiffen gleichzeitig einen Liegeplatz bietet.

Besondere Lage & Atmosphäre

  • Amsterdam liegt im Landesinneren, Kreuzfahrtschiffe fahren über den Nordseekanal (ca. 27 km) von IJmuiden bis zum Stadtzentrum.
  • Terminal direkt am IJ, nur wenige Gehminuten von der Altstadt und dem Hauptbahnhof entfernt → extrem zentrale Lage.
  • Gäste steigen aus dem Schiff aus und stehen fast sofort im Herzen der Stadt.

Kreuzfahrt-Terminals

  • Passenger Terminal Amsterdam (PTA): Hauptterminal für Hochseeschiffe, moderne Infrastruktur, ideal für Anläufe und Turnarounds.
  • IJmuiden (Felison Cruise Terminal): Alternativ für sehr große Schiffe, die nicht durch den Nordseekanal passen. Shuttle-Verbindungen nach Amsterdam.
  • Zusätzlich viele Anlegestellen für Flusskreuzfahrtschiffe entlang der Grachten und am IJ → Amsterdam ist auch ein Hotspot für Donau- und Rhein-Kombinationsreisen.
